Cinnamon Sugar Monkey Bread
Sticky, sweet, and simply delicious, this monkey bread uses just five classic ingredients and takes less than 30 min from start to finish. My take on this classic treat features Breadsmith pizza dough and a combination of coconut, brown, and granulated sugars for a rich flavor profile. As the dough bakes, the butter and sugar turn into a gooey caramel that is absolutely divine.
Ingredients:
2 bags of Breadsmith pizza dough
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
*You can halve the recipe if you’re only serving 3-4 people.
Directions:
-Take the pizza dough out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature
-Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and lightly coat a bundt pan with non-stick cooking spray
-While the dough is resting, combine all sugars, cinnamon, and salt into one bowl and mix to combine
-Melt the butter and set aside to cool slightly
-When the dough is at room temperature, roll it out to your liking and cut into 1” pieces
-Coat each piece of dough in the melted butter and then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Coat evenly before placing in the bundt pan
-Repeat the step above until you have no more dough left. Make sure to layer the dough evenly throughout the pan.
-Take the leftover sugar mixture and combine with the leftover butter. Pour the remaining mixture over the coated dough pieces.
-Bake for 25-35 minutes or until the dough is cooked through
-Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven!
